"Intricately detailed dishes in an Arts and Crafts setting."
Overview
Occupying a handsome, lovingly restored 1904 Arts and Crafts building facing Richmond Park, The Dysart Petersham proves every bit a fine-dining hidden gem. Original leaded windows flood the elegant room with natural light, while pastel shades, stone floors and generously spaced unclothed tables add up for a relaxed mood. A log burning stove, glorious oak bar and friendly, spot-on service add further comforting gloss to this classy, endearing spot. Kenneth Culhane's sure-footed cooking delivers intricately detailed dishes with subtle interplays of flavour and texture, as in charred bream matched with radish, ginger and champagne sauce, followed by steamed Cornish turbot deftly paired with buttered cucumber and turmeric sauce Jacqueline.
