Where The Light Gets In

"Ultra-creative dishes in a unique destination restaurant."
Overview
The setting for Where The Light Gets In ticks all the boxes for industrial chic, on the top floor of a former coffee warehouse with exposed beams, brickwork, plain wooden chairs and spartan Nordic looks, all illuminated by the huge windows that inspired the name. The mood is casual and buzzy in the open-plan space, with chefs serving dishes from the open kitchen to add to the convivial ambience. Drawing inspiration from Scandi and Japanese ideas, the cooking is creative, confident stuff, full of flavour and surprises with a strong sustainable, no waste ethos. The format is a set five-course sharing menu, opening with a wonderful clear broth of mushrooms, oysters and cuts of charcuterie with sourdough bread, then a simple yet flavour-packed combo of smoked mussels and green tomatoes.
