Petwood Hotel
"Edwardian house with pleasant staff and well-presented rooms"
Overview
The former home of an Edwardian Baroness, Petwood is a lovely Edwardian house, set in 30 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens and woodlands, adjacent to Woodhall Golf Course. Built in 1905, the house was used by 617 Squadron, the famous 'Dambusters', as an officers' mess during World War II. Bedrooms and public areas are spacious, comfortable and retain many original features. Weddings and conferences are well catered for in modern facilities.

About the area
Much of the fenland around the Wash has been drained of its marshes and reclaimed as highly productive farmland. Further north, the coastline, with its sandy beaches, has been developed to accommodate the holiday industry, with caravans, campsites and the usual seaside paraphernalia
