"Sharp contemporary cooking in a grand old building."
Overview
Just off Fleet Street, in a Grade II listed, Lutyens designed building, CORD is a bright, spacious and elegant dining experience in an open-plan dining room with a kitchen on full show behind floor-to-ceiling glass. The cooking and the service both show a commendable attention to detail, and there’s a strong focus on delivering something truly memorable. Traditional techniques and creative flair come together in Highland venison en croûte with cabbage, bacon lardons, morel mushrooms and a punchy pear chutney, or sea bass with turnip, aubergine and borlotti beans all lifted with an umami-rich dashi broth. For pudding, a riff on a Black Forest theme involving Kirsch mousse, white chocolate and Amarena cherries.
