"Highly polished cooking in Bermondsey."
Overview
Don’t be fooled by the understated interior and deceptively easy-going service style at Trivet – this is a very serious restaurant run by two Fat Duck alumni. Opposite the historic Guinness Trust building close to London Bridge Station, the interior goes for Scandi-style woods and pastel shades, while an open kitchen and marble bar add contemporary panache. Jonny Lake’s carte likewise bristles with appeal – characterised by superb produce, dishes deliver balance, bold flavours and imagination in spades. A superb risotto with petals of red gurnard and confit fennel gets things going, then grilled Cornish turbot with tomatoes, pickled shimeji and borlotti beans is a vibrant and fragrant main course.
