The Cedar Restaurant
"Robustly flavoured dishes in a truly historic setting."
Overview
Located in stunning parkland designed by landscape architect ‘Capability’ Brown, Fawsley Hall can be traced back to the 15th century, and retains a true sense of history and elegance. Originally a royal manor from as early as the 7th century, the earliest part of the house is the Tudor south wing built by Richard Knightley. The cosy, low-lit restaurant occupies a space that was once the old hall kitchen and it’s an impressive dining room full of fascinating historic features such as old meat hooks, beams and stone fireplaces. Pristine linen tablecloths and napkins on well-placed tables, high-backed leather chairs, gleaming glassware and polished cutlery add to the grandeur, and the smartly uniformed staff are attentive and professional.
