Overview
Set across two sprawling estates in the heart of the beautiful Churnet Valley, The Plumicorn restaurant is an integral part of the luxurious Tawny Hotel. Occupying a striking purpose-built, modern building with vast glass frontage, it overlooks the hotel’s impressive gardens and lakes to make for a stunning location. The bright and floral design inside adds to the informal brasserie style of the restaurant, with many of the tables enjoying splendid garden views. The kitchen delivers finely tuned, contemporary dishes with intelligent flavour pairings, and a ‘plot to plate’ philosophy means chefs also make good use of the neighbouring kitchen garden where seasonal ingredients are picked to order to complete many dishes, which include plenty of vegan and vegetarian choices.
