Fox & Goose Inn
"Splendidly historic setting for popular local dining."
Overview
The Fox & Goose is a Grade II* listed former Guildhall, dating back to 1509, full of period details and tons of atmosphere. It’s the perfect setting for some really spot-on modern British cooking, where beef fillet might come with mustard gel, a pickled shallot, green bean and carrot salad, garlic mayonnaise and wild mushroom croquette potatoes.

About the area
Suffolk is Constable country, where the county’s crumbling, time-ravaged coastline spreads itself under wide skies to convey a wonderful sense of remoteness and solitude. Highly evocative and atmospheric, this is where rivers wind lazily to the sea and notorious 18th-century smugglers hid from the excise men
