Overview
Tucked away down narrow lanes in an idyllic corner of Wiltshire near Salisbury Plain, the Red Lion remains a country pub at heart, still performing its duty as a local watering hole with a range of local beers and ciders on tap, plus bar snacks and kids’ burgers. Seated in its relaxed dining areas or the tranquil, tree-shaded beer garden, the diverse menu delights with imaginative, honest cookery, starting with raw Orkney scallops paired with pickled Yorkshire rhubarb, Jerusalem artichoke, olive oil and white pepper, and moving on to Creedy Carver duck breast and leg with Sarladaise potato, chicory, Griotte cherries and duck sauce.
