Overview
Set in the heart of the world-renowned Gleneagles Hotel, Restaurant Andrew Fairlie is an experience to savour in a truly grand dining room with deeply comfortable seating, original artworks and atmospheric lighting. Its culinary legacy is carried forward by head chef Stephen McLaughlin whose passion for classic French cuisine runs deep, albeit with a Scottish soul and dazzlingly contemporary sheen. The dishes are exquisitely crafted and brilliantly creative, as in a fabulous starter of caramelised veal sweetbread, wild mushrooms, bone marrow and oxtail sauce where every mouthful is a thrill. The assured cooking carries on with herb crusted loin of lamb pointed up with tarragon mustard alongside confit flank, matched with parsley, garlic and lamb jus.
