Locomotion has one of the greatest changing railway collections of the North East; offering interactive displays, free school holiday activities and an exciting events programme. Star attractions include many vehicles from the National Collection such as Timothy Hackworth's pioneering locomotive Sans Pareil, built 1829 to compete in the Rainhill Trials and a royal train.
