Overview
This originally Tudor house is so-named because it is thought to be the oldest house in Bakewell, was used by Richard Arkwright to house tenants from his nearby mill. It is now an award-winning local museum. It features a Victorian kitchen and changing displays of local history, toys and lace. It also has ceramics, tools, a dressing up box for children, trails and quizzes.
