RSPB Exminster Marshes

Recommended by Visit England Logo
Overview
Just five miles from Exeter city centre, Exminster and Powderham Marshes are great places to see birds all year-round. The marshes are a vital feeding and resting area for large numbers of birds which come here on their migration and to spend the winter – so watch out for big flocks of geese, ducks and waders. This is also one of the last few places in south-west England where lapwings and redshanks still nest.
Location
Unit 3, Lion's Rest Estate, Station Road, EXMINSTER, EX6 8DZ
About the area
Devon sums up all that is best about the British landscape, with its magnificent coastlines, two historic cities, the world-famous Dartmoor National Park and south Devon’s glorious English Riviera. A fashionable and much-loved holiday destination, hiking and cycling in the National Parks is extremely popular among visitors, with a great choice of off-road routes.
