In the13th-century it was a Dominican friary, and it's had a long and turbulent history from its medieval origins, right up to the present day. Dating back to 1239, Blackfriars lays claim to being the oldest dining room in the UK. The tour lasts about 45-minutes and ends with a 3 course set lunch in the restaurant. The restaurant also hosts tastings, lectures and cookery courses.
