Bunratty Castle & Folk Park
Overview
Magnificent Bunratty Castle was built around 1425. The restored castle contains mainly 15th and 16th century furnishings and tapestries. Within its grounds is Bunratty Folk Park where 19th-century Irish life is tellingly recreated. Rural farmhouses, a village street and Bunratty House with its formal Regency gardens are recreated and furnished as they would have appeared at the time. Medieval Banquets in the castle throughout the year (5.30pm & 8.45pm sitting, booking necessary) and an Irish Night operates in the Folk Park from April to October (reservations necessary).
