Ballymaloe Cookery School Gardens
"A beautiful collection of gardens set by a cookery school."
Overview
In the grounds of the Ballymaloe Cookery School there are several interesting gardens to explore – some carefully designed and highly ornate, others allowed to grow wild in some months of the year and there's also an acre of glasshouses. Also on the site are the water garden; the ornamental fruit garden; the kitchen potager; Lydia's garden; the herb garden; the old pleasure garden; the Celtic maze and wildflower meadow and the Topiary with a delightful Shell House. There are popular garden tours, courses and workshops.
About the area
Cork is Ireland’s southernmost county, and is also the largest. There’s a lot of coastline, most of which is rocky and dramatic, but there are some amazing beaches, like Barleycove, Inchydoney and Owenahincha.
