Kerry County Museum
Overview
The museum tells the story of Kerry (and Ireland) from the Stone Age to the present day. Archaeological treasures are displayed in the Museum Gallery, while a stroll through the Medieval Experience reveals the streets of Tralee as they were in 1450, with all the sights, sounds and smells of a bustling community. Discover what people wore, what they ate and where they lived, and find out why the Earls of Desmond, who founded the town, also destroyed it.

About the area
Ireland’s most easterly county, Kerry, features a coastline of many inlets and peninsulas. It’s also home to the country’s highest mountains – the three peaks of the quaintly-named MacGillycuddy's Reeks range; highest first, they are Carrauntoohil, Beenkeragh and Caher.
