About the area
Tipperary has some of the country’s lushest pasturelands, and this is reflected in the prosperity of the farming community, and in the region’s towns and shopping centres.
The main natural features are the Galtee and Knockmealdown Mountains, and the River Suir that cuts through the heart of the county.
