Overview
Newbridge House was designed by James Gibbs and built in 1747 for Charles Cobbe, Archbishop of Dublin. Set in 350 acres of parkland, the house contains many splendidly finished rooms featuring plasterwork and original furniture as well as the Cobbe collection of old master paintings. The house also features a fully restored courtyard surrounded by a dairy, estate workers' house, carpenter's shop and blacksmith's forge. The grounds contain a 29 acre traditional farm with many rare breeds and children's playground.
