Overview
This Georgian house, overlooking the Montrose Basin, was built for Lord Dun in 1730 and is noted for the exuberant plasterwork of the interior. Family portraits, fine furniture and porcelain are on display, and royal mementos connected with a daughter of King William IV and the actress Mrs Jordan, who lived here in the 19th century. The Hutchison Collection is a recent addition, a fine collection of 20th-century Scottish paintings. There is also a walled garden and woodland walks.
