There’s something very appealing about the simplicity of a log cabin getaway – but simple doesn’t necessarily have to mean basic. From romantic hideaways with jacuzzi baths to riverside cedar structures complete with private hot tubs, here are some of our favourite luxury log cabins.
Hop Pickers Rural Retreats, Worcestershire
Located between Worcester and the Malvern Hills, Hop Pickers is a former cherry and hop farm that offers guests an idyllic rural stay. The luxury log cabin sleeps four and is nestled in a quiet corner of the old orchard – a perfect setting for relaxing in the private hot tub.
La Bailloterie Camping, Guernsey
La Bailloterie is Guernsey’s longest established campsite and is set in 10 acres of land with the island’s beautiful beaches within walking distance. The site is home to two wooden camping cabins, each sleeping four. Take in the views across the site from the rocking chairs on the cabin’s sun deck.
Llanfair Hall, Isle of Anglesey
Situated within a peaceful, rural estate, Llanfair Hall is ideal for that ‘away from it all’ experience. The site’s beautifully crafted log cabin – Seiriol (Welsh for ‘Puffin Island’) – boasts a log-burning stove for chillier nights, as well as an outdoor pizza oven, swing seat and double hammock.
