Cadbury World, Birmingham
Experience a chocolate-filled day at Cadbury World, where you can learn how your favourite chocolate is made, write your name in chocolate, and customize a pot of warm, melted Dairy Milk. Explore the origins of cocoa, ride the magical Cadabra ride and meet the famous drumming gorilla. Enjoy an exciting 4D cinema adventure with Freddo and other Cadbury characters, complete with motion seats.
DIG, York
DIG takes you on a hands-on, interactive archaeological adventure, and is the perfect way to introduce children to the wonder of archaeology. Featuring four excavation pits with synthetic mud, uncover Roman, Viking, Medieval and Victorian artefacts. Guided by professional archaeologists, visitors learn the historical context of their finds. Entry is via timed tours, and pre-booking through the website is recommended.
Dinosaur Isle, Sandown
Dinosaur Isle, Britain’s first purpose-built dinosaur attraction, lets you journey through time in a building reminiscent of a flying Pterosaur. Explore life-sized models of five of the island’s dinosaurs—Neovenator, Eotyrannus, Iguanodon, Hypsilophodon and Polacanthus—amid a recreated prehistoric landscape. Spot flying Pterodactyls, watch fossil preparation, enjoy hands-on activities, and join a popular guided fossil hunt (pre-booking required).
Discover – Children's Story Centre, Stratford
Discover – Children’s Story Centre, located on Stratford High Street, is an interactive story-telling centre for children ages 0–11. Featuring imaginative ‘Story Worlds’ such as caves, hidden ships, a puppet castle and magic woods, the venue also offers storytelling sessions and workshops included in a buildable day pass. There is also a café on site.
London Transport Museum, London
Located in Covent Garden, the London Transport Museum explores 200 years of the city's transport history. Younger visitors will enjoy the All Aboard play zone and Elizabeth Line train simulator, while design enthusiasts can visit exhibits on Underground design. There is also a café and shop on site. Tickets offer unlimited entry for a year and kids go free.
Thinktank, Birmingham
Thinktank, Birmingham’s science museum at Millennium Point, features over 200 hands-on displays across four floors, including steam engines and talking robots. The Museum offers a fun and educational experience for all ages.
Winchester Science Centre, Winchester
Winchester Science Centre, located just outside the city centre, offers two floors of interactive science exhibits, the immersive space zone Explorer:Space, and the UK’s largest standalone planetarium. Admission includes live science shows and themed activities on weekends and school holidays, making it a fun, family-friendly destination.
Aerospace Bristol, Bristol
Take to the skies at Aerospace Bristol, which offers a fun, hands-on journey through the history of flight—from the Wright Brothers to space exploration. Board the ‘Last Concorde’, explore interactive exhibits and watch volunteers restore vintage aircraft.
Cheddar Gorge and Caves, Cheddar
Cheddar Gorge and Caves is dog-friendly and features seven indoor and outdoor sites. Discover the geological formations in Gough’s Cave, marvel at the cinematic Beyond the View experience, learn about our ancestors at the Museum of Prehistory, and take an immersive tour through the caves at Dreamhunters. Visitors can also climb Jacob’s Ladder, enjoy views from the Lookout Tower and explore the Cliff-top Walk for panoramic views over the Mendip Hills.
Ocean Adventurers, Cheddar
Ocean Adventurers is one of the South West’s largest indoor play centres, featuring soft play for ages up to 12, a baby sensory area, interactive climbing walls and a mini-village with a dress up area. Parents can also relax in a comfortable seating area with noise absorbing ceiling panels for some quiet time.
Space Adventurers, Taunton
Space Adventurers is an immersive play centre for children up to age 12, featuring sensory zones, astro slides, combat walls, and the freedom gaming Strike-Arena. Kids can enjoy the space-themed Role Play Arena, while adults can relax with a coffee.
Eureka! Science + Discovery, Wirral
Eureka! Science + Discovery is an ideal day out for children to discover how science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics influence and shape their lives. Located in the Seacombe Ferry Terminal on the River Mersey, the centre also features a waterfront café for families to relax and refuel.
Up at The O2, London
Up at The O2 offers an exhilarating 90-minute guided climb over the iconic venue, with panoramic views of London. Suitable for most ages and fitness levels, the experience is available as a Daylight, Sunset or Twilight climb, making it a unique and adventurous way to see London and enhance your day out.
Wembley Stadium Tours, London
The Wembley Stadium Tour takes you behind the scenes of the UK’s largest sports and entertainment venue. Explore iconic areas usually reserved for stars, relive historic moments like England’s 1966 World Cup win and UEFA Champions League triumphs and experience the legacy of legendary matches and concerts.
