Houghton Hall and Gardens, Houghton

Houghton Hall and Gardens is a place filled with delights and many things to do. Originally built in the 1720s for Britain’s first Prime Minister, Sir Robert Walpole, Houghton’s Hall is a treasure trove. The 5-acre walled garden includes kitchen and French lavender gardens which are dotted with fountains, statues and glasshouses. There is a parkland filled with deer and a soldier’s museum can also be found within the grounds.

Mid Norfolk Railway, Dereham

Open from April to October, The Mid Norfolk Railway is a steam train ride which takes you 17.5 miles through the heart of Norfolk’s beautiful countryside. The train offers luxury dine in carriages where you can experience on train catering. special events and days are also available to book some of which include: The Polar Express Train Ride, Musical trains and Driver experience days. There is also a gift shop and museum to look at as well.

Sandringham House Gardens and Museum, Sandringham

Sandringham House, Gardens and Museum is a much-loved holiday home of the Queen and her family. Based in the former coach houses and stables, the museum is filled with many displays of personal items, such as items given to the Queen on visits abroad, and royal memorabilia. Sandringham’s surrounding 60 acres of land and country park give a variety of wildlife and colour throughout all the seasons
