Overview
Shakespeare North Playhouse has a mission to bring people together to enjoy a programme of performance, activities and conversations, inspired by the life and works of Shakespeare. At its heart is a traditional 470-seat timber framed theatre that hosts a variety of performances. Theatre, music, comedy, workshops, events and activities are designed to spill out into the exhibition gallery, studio and Sir Ken Dodd Performance Garden, creating an exciting and accessible space.

- Opening Times: Non-performance days: 11am - 5pm, Tuesday to Saturday. Performance days 11am - 10pm Tuesday to Saturday. We are sometimes open from 4pm on Mondays during performance weeks.
