In the sleepy hamlet of Shallowford, Izaak Walton’s cottage will be of interest to anglers and non-anglers alike. The celebrated author of ‘The Compleat Angler', owned the thatched 16th-century half-timbered cottage where period rooms tell the story of Izaak the writer and the history and evolution of angling. Enjoy afternoon tea in the Knot Garden.
