Dorchester House★★★★
"Experience traditional charm in beautiful Keswick"
Overview
Dorchester House was built as a guesthouse in 1896 and is a charming traditional Lakeland stone property that has retained many of its original Victorian features. Inside, it offers a cosy and comfortable atmosphere that immediately feels welcoming and homely. Breakfast is a particular highlight, featuring quality produce sourced from local butchers as well as full vegetarian and vegan alternatives, all cooked and served by the friendly owners, Lorraine and Simon. The town centre is just a short walk away, with the many attractions of the surrounding area only a brief drive beyond that.

About the area
Cumbria's rugged yet beautiful landscape is best known for the Lake District National Park that sits within its boundaries. It’s famous for Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, and Derwent Water, ‘Queen of the English Lakes', but other lesser-known areas in the south, such as the Lune Valley and the coastal towns, are secret gems of wide cobbled streets and rolling hills.
