Overview
Located on top of a hill on the edge of the Pennines, this characterful inn is the perfect combination of modern comfort and traditional style. In the bar, expect wood beams, warm log-burning stoves and coal fires, as well as a very good selection of ales, beers and more. Delicious meals are served in the Brasserie dining room, old tap room and barn room. There are 12 bedrooms in the main house, which is listed, and 4 additional spacious family rooms in the cottage next door.

  A bit of history... - It's been a police station, a schoolhouse, and a weaver’s cottage.
  Charming location - On the edge of the Pennines with views towards Manchester and Cheshire.
  Good food - Seasonal, locally-sourced produce, which looks as good as it tastes.
  Comfy bedrooms - 16 comfortable and well-appointed rooms.
  Weddings and Events - Catered for in The Library, or the purpose-built Oak Room suite and Pavillion.
