Coach and Horses★★★★★
"Charming Lancashire inn with its own micro-brewery."
Overview
The picturesque village of Bolton-by-Bowland provides a bucolic backdrop complete with babbling brook running past the inn. Rich in original features, this former coaching inn seamlessly blends historic Grade II listed charm with modern comfort. A stylish, copper-topped bar and all of the usual country pub elements ensure a striking impression but also the welcoming atmosphere of a traditional village pub. To food, an elegant restaurant offers views into both the open kitchen and the onsite "4 Mice" microbrewery. Choose from well-executed pub classics to refined contemporary British cuisine, all showcasing the best of the local larder. To the rear, a beautifully kept beer garden offers the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the warmer months. Each of the seven individually-styled bedrooms pays homage to the inn’s heritage while offering luxurious touches and all of the usual mod cons. There is free parking for guests and an EV charger on site.

About the area
Lancashire was at the centre of the British cotton industry in the 19th century, which lead to the urbanization of great tracts of the area. The cotton boom came and went, but the industrial profile remains.
