The Judge's Lodging★★★★★
"Stunning York historic inn with very stylish interior design."
Overview
The Judge's Lodging is a Grade I listed Georgian townhouse situated in the heart of the city centre, just a stone's throw from the Minster. The building has a wealth of charm and character throughout the public spaces and in the smart, well-equipped bedrooms. There is an atmospheric cellar bar with original vaulted ceilings, the Cask Bar on the first floor and a superb ‘glass box’ where you can dine inside yet still feel like you're sitting outside. The property also has sun terraces, and private booths for alfresco dining.

About the area

This is prime walking country, from the heather-clad heights of the North York Moors to the limestone country that is so typical of the Yorkshire Dales – a place of contrasts and discoveries, of history and legend.
