Our Inspector's view

A tranquil, adult only caravan & campsite located just 2 miles from York Minster. 55 large, level, fully serviced pitches (water, 16-amp electric, drains, and TV). Grass and hardstanding pitches available. Heated facilities, including individual bathrooms and laundry. Nearest pub is half a mile (15 min walk) that serves food all day. Monks Cross retail park is 1 mile away. 10 minutes into York Centre on the twice-hourly bus from our site entrance. Free Wi-Fi.

Its city walls date from the 14th century and are among the finest in Europe. However, the gothic Minster, built between 1220 and 1470, is York’s crowning glory.
