"The small hands-on team showed warm and genuine hospitality."
Overview
Eddrachilles Hotel is a wonderful small hotel located in north west Sutherland on the world famous North Coast 500 route. Built in the late 1700s, it was originally the manse of the parish church. The property looks down on to natural harbour of Badcall Bay and guests arriving by boat can anchor there. The bedrooms are comfortable and very well appointed with many thoughtful extras. Award-winning food is a large part of the guest experience and should not be missed. The small bar has over 60 whiskies and a wealth of different local gins and local beers. The sun lounge offers panoramic views of the bay with a path through the garden leading down to the beach. Log burning stoves add to the charm and comfort during colder weather.

About the area
Apart from the Orkneys and the Shetlands, Highland is Scotland’s northernmost county. Probably its most famous feature is the mysterious and evocative Loch Ness, allegedly home to an ancient monster that has embedded itself in the world’s modern mythology, and the region’s tourist industry.
