"Waterside pub serving local seafood"
Overview
Originally a store for local fishermen and fish curers, The Arch Inn is situated on Ullapool's waterfront on the shores of Loch Broom, only a two-minute walk from the Outer Hebrides ferry terminal. Not surprisingly considering its location, the pub serves a selection of fresh local produce including seafood. Try the traditional cullen skink to start, perhaps followed by sautéed salmon fillet with creamed Puy lentils and chive sauce.
Location
10–11 West Shore Street, ULLAPOOL, IV26 2UR

About the area
Apart from the Orkneys and the Shetlands, Highland is Scotland’s northernmost county. Probably its most famous feature is the mysterious and evocative Loch Ness, allegedly home to an ancient monster that has embedded itself in the world’s modern mythology, and the region’s tourist industry.
