Cosy and eclectically furnished, with exposed brick, open fires and plenty of period detail, The White Horse is set in a village between Winchester and Chandlers Ford, handy for the M3. They have an AA Rosette for their food, and the menu might tempt you to start with offerings like crispy paprika squid, or whole-baked camembert with garlic sourdough.
