"Great beer and fine local produce"
Overview
A fine red-brick country pub, set in the heart of the village of Fleggburgh, and ideally located for exploring the Norfolk Broads, The Kings Arms is well known for offering a well-kept pint of Timothy Taylor Landlord or Adnams Ghost Ship in the bar, while the seasonal food on the menus might include Cromer crab, north Norfolk mussels, or Norfolk beef. There’s always a good choice of local fish – perhaps pan-roasted fillet of North Sea cod – along with meatier options like rump of spring Suffolk lamb or roasted loin of Bunwell red deer. Norfolk strawberries and cream keeps things local too.

About the area
The North Norfolk Coast is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and probably the finest of its kind in Europe. Here you’ll find a string of quaint villages and small towns – Holkham, Wells-next-the-Sea and Cley next the Sea are 21st-century favourites, while Sheringham and Cromer are classic examples of a good old-fashioned seaside resort where grand Victorian hotels look out to sea.
