An award-winning local history museum, set in an historic house. The 17th-century hall, Georgian parlour and working Victorian kitchen reveal the history of the building and its inhabitants. The museum houses exhibitions on East Dorset from prehistoric to modern times. There are regular special exhibitions and a walled garden to explore.
