Set within the beautiful surrounds of Taunton Castle, the museum tells the county's story from prehistoric times to the present day. An underfloor Plesiosaur, the largest hoard of Roman coins ever discovered, in a single pot, in Britain and a chilling recreation of the Bloody Assizes - you'll find them all at the Museum of Somerset. Regularly changing temporary exhibitions, special events, evening talks, music and outdoor theatre - the museum offers a full programme of activities for all ages.
