"Country coaching inn with plenty of style"
Overview
On the borders of Devon, Dorset and Somerset, this 16th-century former coaching inn has been refurbished extensively but retains plenty of original features including huge fires to warm you up as you sup a pint of Otter or Branscombe ale. Much of the menu revolves around local produce, whether it’s braised lamb shoulder, pan-roasted gurnard or root vegetable gratin. Pub classics, sandwiches and salads are served at lunchtime.
