Sheffield Park and Garden
Overview
Sheffield Park was originally landscaped by 'Capability' Brown in about 1775 to create a beautiful park with four lakes and cascades. Further extensive planting was done at the beginning of the 20th century, to give emphasis to autumn colour among the trees. In May and June masses of azaleas and rhododendrons bloom and later there are magnificent waterlillies on the lakes. Autumn brings stunning colours from the many rare trees and shrubs. Also visit South Park, a 265-acre historic parkland with stunning views. Special events run throughout the year, check the website for details.
