Overview
Set in more than 200 acres, the pride of Marks Hall Gardens is its collection of trees from all the temperate areas of the world, providing a fascinating spectacle throughout the year. A network of paths runs through this stunning arboretum, taking visitors past exotic specimens representing Europe, Asia, North America and the Southern Hemisphere. Wildlife abounds beneath the tree cover and around the two lakes, with their brickwork dams and cascades. There’s a walled garden, a wildflower area and a children’s play area and the Visitor Centre, in a restored Essex barn, houses a shop and tearoom serving morning coffee, light lunches and teas, with homemade cakes available all day.
