"Modern cooking using the best Scotland has to offer."
Overview
The Torridon 1887 Restaurant is the fine dining option at The Torridon hotel, set against a stunning mountain and loch backdrop. With wonderful views towards Loch Torridon, the restaurant offers a cosy feel, as you might expect from a former hunting lodge. Tasting menus change with the seasons and ingredients are sourced from the hotel’s garden and surrounding estate. Kick things off with a ‘risotto’ of cauliflower, squid, whey and aged parmesan, before a main course of 60-day, dry-aged beef sirloin, miso, alliums, wild garlic and beef fat jus. Show more

About the area
Apart from the Orkneys and the Shetlands, Highland is Scotland’s northernmost county. Probably its most famous feature is the mysterious and evocative Loch Ness, allegedly home to an ancient monster that has embedded itself in the world’s modern mythology, and the region’s tourist industry
