Yorkshire Wolds Way: Wintringham to Ganton

Walk directions

From the bend in the road near the church, walk up a field from the Yorkshire Wolds Way signpost. Go left on an easy track then turn right and make a very steep climb. Emerge at the top by a large artwork (see What to Look Out For).

Continue down an ancient earthwork to a road. An option here goes right to a campsite but the main route goes left a few paces then follows the upper edge of Knapton Wood; the alternative rejoins halfway along. Continue to a lane.
