Overview
Dating from around 1720, The Kings Head benefited from an extensive refurbishment in 2016 but it has retained much of its character. All-day dining is available in the ground-floor restaurant which offers quality local produce on the menus. A typical meal might include grilled venison sausages with parsnip mash and blueberry gravy, and pan-roasted fillet of chalk stream trout with confit potatoes, pancetta, samphire and lemon butter.
Location

About the area
North Yorkshire, with its two National Parks and two designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is England’s largest county and one of the most rural. This is prime walking country, from the heather-clad heights of the North York Moors to the limestone country that is so typical of the Yorkshire Dales – a place of contrasts and discoveries, of history and legend.
