Overview
There’s plenty of character here, with 600 years of history, oak-beamed ceilings, hidden alcoves, worn flagstone floors and open fires. Close to the Suffolk Coastal Path and the marshes, the pub has a family-friendly garden overlooking a creek and the beach. Firm favourites on the menu are deep-fried breaded whitebait; shortcrust pastry pie of the day; and sticky toffee pudding with butterscotch sauce and toffee fudge ice cream. Well-behaved dogs are welcome.
