Overview
The manor building might date from the 16th century but Prévost @ Haycock is a decidedly 21st-century gastronomic experience. It’s a light and airy space with modern chandeliers in large metal bird cages, dark wood flooring and brightly coloured upholstery giving a smartly contemporary look. Service is polished and attentive, with members of the kitchen team delivering and explaining dishes. Pin-sharp, inventive ideas kick off with miso-baked kohlrabi with girolles, broad beans and smoked pike’s roe, followed by salt-aged quail matched with barbecued carrot, nasturtium and meadowsweet.
