Ellergill House★★★★
"Lovely fell views from handsome central Keswick property."
Overview
A well-appointed five-bedroom house, Ellergill makes an excellent base for getting to know Keswick, Derwentwater and the surrounding area. The town itself boasts an excellent 13th-century market, pubs, shops and the ‘old school’ Alhambra Cinema. Walks include Catbells, Latrigg, Castle Crag and a circuit of Derwentwater; boat trips can be booked on the lake. Castlerigg Stone Circle is near town.
About the area
Cumbria's rugged yet beautiful landscape is best known for the Lake District National Park that sits within its boundaries. It’s famous for Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, and Derwent Water, ‘Queen of the English Lakes', but other lesser-known areas in the south, such as the Lune Valley and the coastal towns, are secret gems of wide cobbled streets and rolling hills
