Overview
Formerly a workhouse, The Red House is now a museum, with plenty of variety, featuring local history and archaeology, displayed in a beautiful Georgian house. It features some Arthur Romney-Green furniture and gardens with a woodland walk and herb garden. Regularly changing temporary exhibitions include contemporary art and crafts, plus historical displays. The coffee shop serves freshly-ground coffee and speciality teas as well as hand-made cakes.
