Overview
This timber-framed house is a fine example of a Tudor merchant's home. It was completed in 1509/1510 and has interesting carvings on the outside timbers, including the Paycocke trade sign. Inside there are further elaborate carvings and linenfold panelling. Behind the house is a pretty garden.
