Overview
600 acres of rolling parkland on the edge of Manchester, Heaton Park is a traditional park for the whole family. Facilities include a Tram Museum, sports pitches, stables, farm and animals centres, and a horticultural centre. The hall was designed by James Wyatt for Sir Thomas Egerton in 1772, and has magnificent period interiors decorated with fine plasterwork, paintings and furniture. Other attractions include a unique circular room with Pompeian-style paintings, and the original Samuel Green organ still in working order.
