Overview
Part of Britain's national heritage, this scenic gorge at Shanklin is a magical world of unique beauty and a haven for rare plants and wildlife. A path winds through the ravine with overhanging trees, ferns and other flora covering the steep sides. Part of the WWII P.L.U.T.O. pipeline can be seen in the Chine, with a permanent exhibition house in the Heritage Centre.
