Overview
Set in the beautiful Wensum Valley, Pensthorpe Natural Park is more than just a showcase for conservation and wildlife. Home to some of the nation’s rarest and most endangered wildlife, the park’s ethos is to encourage children to 'swap WiFi for wildlife' with a clever approach to nature education through adventure play. Encountering flamingos, cranes and red squirrels among others, the Park offers a fun-packed day out for children of all ages. Discover four nature-inspired gardens and see spectacular wildlife in one of Norfolk’s largest wildflower meadows. Absorb the structural beauty of Piet Oudolf’s Millennium Garden which looks spectacular at its peak in late summer, admire the sculptures as you meander through the WaveGarden and visit the Wildlife Habitat Garden with bees, bats and butterflies. About the area
The North Norfolk Coast is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and probably the finest of its kind in Europe. Here you’ll find a string of quaint villages and small towns – Holkham, Wells-next-the-Sea and Cley next the Sea are 21st-century favourites, while Sheringham and Cromer are classic examples of a good old-fashioned seaside resort where grand Victorian hotels look out to sea.
